International Day of Climate Action

On 24 October, people in 181 countries came together for the International Day of Climate Action, the most widespread day of environmental action in the planet’s history. At over 5200 events around the world, people gathered to call for strong action and bold leadership on the climate crisis. The Forest Justice team was part of making history in hosting over 70 film screenings of “Taking Root” on campuses and communities around the country and the world.

Over 19,000  photos have been submitted to 350.org, show casing the world’s call to Climate Action. From the Pyramids of Egypt to the reefs of Maldives the world showed its support for  for an International Climate Treaty that protects the world from the devastating effects of climate change.
