The Nature Conservancy is offering a free on-line course that has in-depth information on what is currently being proposed with REDD.

Check it out here: http://www.conservationtraining.org/

Here’s what The Nature Conservancy has to say about the course:  “This pilot course provides a comprehensive introduction to Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Degradation (REDD). This free course uses interactive tools to present information on a wide range of topics, including: the role of forests in climate change, technical elements of REDD, the political context of REDD, social and environmental considerations, national-level REDD programs, and REDD project development. The course consists of four distinct modules made up of several stand-alone lessons that can be completed at your own pace. Completing the entire course will take roughly 6.5 hours.”
